  11. I just left my dad’s; I had to show him this picture of Pete frolicking with his brothers. Pete still brings a smile to my dad’s face. He hugs his German shepherd Jerry tightly right after. Jerry is 9 and is slowing down, but still maintains his herding skills; he herds my poodle mix Lolly and my parents other small dog Mandrake. He also pushes me along as well; I am also honored with little nips on my stomach or hip.

    This is our first Christmas without our sweet Hank. It hurts; but it also makes me remember how brave and fearless he was up until his passing. He was 16 1/2, almost blind and deaf and even though it could be raining, windy, or if the sprinklers would be on and he’d still go outside to do his business. No fear and brave. He still leads by example in my heart. Merry Christmas to you, your husband and your two beautiful boys Auggie and Eli ❤️ 🐾

  15. Two of your loves! Thanks for sharing. I really miss seeing Pete. I didn’t know of Moses until I saw your book covers, but I know you loved him dearly.
