Auggie’s all snuggled in for the night

He got on the bed before I covered it with the dog blanket, and I decided to let him be. He’s very snug under there, and it’s a cold night. Sometime after midnight he will bestir himself and come up to press himself against me as close as he can. Without opening my eyes, I reach behind me and pat him to let him know I know. Usually, he purrs. Eli’s on the floor sleeping against the French doors and snoring like the big bear he resembles.

  1. All of the GSDs, including the latest Recue “Zuki” (she loves Zukes training treats), have been such beasts of personality; protective, goofy, happy, inquisitive, way too smart, moody….but always loyal & loving. They’ve never been “bed sleepers though – ain’t that much room in a double bed!

  2. Going to be 6° here overnight in Arkansas.  We’re all bundled up, too!  Including my outside plants.  I hope they make it.

  3. My beloved Rudy (Siamese cat) has been gone 4 years, but I can still feel him jump up on the bed, and I automatically made room for him under the covers, and he would curl up in my arm. I know, I know.
