  1. Its a dog thing. Our lab doesn’t distinguish between the good leather sofa in the living room and the 35 year old dog hair encrusted sofa in the spare bedroom office. Its all the same to them! Hopefully you have a lint roller handy to get that decorative dog fur off the sofa.

  2. We gave up on this “discussion” at our house. We’re now a home full of leather furniture, conveniently all GSD/English Foxhound/Golden Retriever sized. We are out numbered.

  3. As I have written before, y’all are STILL holding to the delusion that the Two-Leggeds are  in control of the house… Via

  4. Ziggy gets up on our bed when we’re gone. I tell him that he needs to learn to smooth the covers after he jumps off and before he comes and greets us at the door.

  5. He has the same look our cats have when they are on something we’ve told them not to get on. ‘What?! I’m the cat! Why shouldn’t I be here?’ We have 4 cats so we follow the advice of Dr. Marty Becker and just remember that it is called FUR-niture for a very good reason when you have cats or dogs. So stay relaxed about it and enjoy their company.

    • As our trainer is fond of saying: Dogs do not understand gray; only black and white. So I let down my guard the other night and allowed him on my lap, now he thinks it’s a free for all.

  6. This is perfect-Eli looks so regal. I have decided after many years to just let my cats enjoy living here also. I still protect a few sofas and try to manage their scratching! Daughter will just have to spruce up the house to sell a bit more when we depart.
