Some Gratuitous Dog photos…

Life is almost back to normal. Auggie’s fur is growing back, and he’s full of spark. He does have one wilting ear, which we think is the result of wearing a cone for a month and accumulating moisture. Back to the vet we go! I’ve suggested to the clinic receptionist that when I call he should respond “Now, what?”

  1. A pair of Wisconsin snow wolves! It’s always good to see Gratuitous Dog photos. I’m thinking that taping Auggie’s ear for a couple of weeks will fix that, the vet will show you how.

  2. Gratuitous and lovely, sunlight when there is sun and a breathtaking snowfall, not too much of it, when that is what is happening. All seems well and peaceful on the home front, which is what you want as we move into this busy season. Peace on earth, the eternal prayer. Here is a little piece of it. Thanks.

  3. I love gratuitous dog photos!! Your handsome lads are a joy to behold. So thankful Auggie is healing and, hopefully, getting ready to catch some snowballs with Eli.

  4. I LOVE these pictures of your boys. It’s my favorite location for both of them, the couch and the red lamp. I miss Pete, though. I’ll be sad when my Pete calendar ends in December. Wishing you, Charlie and the Germans a wonderful holiday season. Suzy

  6. We love your handsome shepherds and are relieved Auggie is back in action. We had shepherds for decades, each one is a gift. Our last five were dying, no one would house them, so we did. Each brought precious light, we learned so much. Thank you for your updates, we left X out of disgust.

  7. Thank you for these recent updates. Seeing these magnificent beasts puts the world right again. So glad Auggie is doing better. My extended family in the recent weeks has lost one fur baby and another has recently been diagnosed with an inoperable tumor. As sad as it is, these dogs were and are well loved and have had the best lives.
