Dad’s upstairs reading for an important interview while I read a novel and snuggle with dogs. By midnight Auggie will be squashed up against me as close as he can be. This is new. He was traumatized by the hospital kennels. Nothing in his life before prepared him for being separated from us.

  15. Dear, sweet Auggie. I’m so sorry for what he endured, but so thankful he has you to cuddle up to. It’s terrible being separated from the ones you love, especially for a beloved dog.💞

  16. My heart breaks for them as they don’t understand what is happening and why. Have you ever used a homeopathic Vet? We have used one on 2 occasions with success. The first was our dog Charlie having repetitive ear infections that were not going away (and costing us a fortune as surgery was involved in one instance). The other instance was following a break in to our house where the intruder entered via an area adjacent to Charlie’s bed. Don’t know what the intruder did, but we found Charlie cowering behind the shed. In both instances after determining the appropriate ‘remedies’ we had amazing (and unexpected results). What I love about it is that after listening to the experience, the behaviours and the dog’s history they identify which ‘remedies’ might be applicable. Then they ask the dog what they need! I witnessed Charlie sniffing the bottle and turning his head away when he didn’t need the remedy and licking it when he did. It was very obvious and quite astonishing to witness.
